Women’s Day in Guelph!

A guest blog post by my associate ND extraordinaire, Dr Katie Thomson Aitken.

This Sunday, March 8, marks International Women’s Day, a celebration of women’s achievements and a call to action for greater equality. A celebration that began in the early 1900’s, it’s now celebrated throughout the world as a national holiday in many countries. There are plenty of opportunities to mark the occasion right here in the City of Guelph. Here a few International Women’s Day events we thought you might like to check out!

  1. International Women’s Day Breakfast. Hosted annually by the Zonta Club, the breakfast is taking place March 8th, 2015 from 7-9 am at the Italian Canadian Club. For more information or to purchase tickets click here: www.zontaguelph.ca

The event will take place at Heffernan Street Footbridge with refreshments to follow at St. George’s Anglican Church.
